		<description>I&#039;ve actually read most of this now, and it&#039;s not bad really, though it does stray into series of match stats territory at time. I&#039;m just about up to the tour where he loses he toes.</description>

But after he lost four toes to a boat properller in Barbados in 1967, he was never going to play for England again. Despite that he took 111 wickets for Middlesex a few seasons later. 

He still had it.</description>
