On Watching Some Telly
If you listen to enough hip-hop, practically everything turns into a game of sample spotting. I caught the end of Princess Bride on five life just now, and had to spend the last few minutes digging around until I found the Apathy track Mother Molesters, which samples the music from when Wesley and co. break into the castle near the end.
I should, for the purposes of blog continuity, point out that tonight’s episode of CSI was brilliant. Despite being partially a clips show (basically), the ep revolved around Hodges gathering the lab rats, including Archie of course, to investigate the miniature killer miniatures. There were some top side bits, including a rat bursting it’s way out of a dead body (and some excellent Grissom and Roberts moments), but the finest sequence was Hodges explanation of why he decided to do it - it was his lucky day. This is illustrated by a montage of things that happened, like him finding a dollar on the floor, and getting checked out by a pretty girl, all accompanied by Mr Blue Sky by ELO. Genius.
Final Thought (from the Ap in background): For MC’s I killed friends 40s are poured, but you could still never see me like Geordi La Forge.

dude, it should turn into a game of sample GETTING. It’s all about the old TV shows, audios and weird synth chords. But good spot, worth a point I think.
