I'm actually listening to that very CD and track right now; It was released by Guitarist Magazine on 7th june 1997 and the CD was titled "Reader's Jives" (a play on the eponymous Readers Wives 'Jazz' Mags).

Anyhow the reason I got to this forum was that I am currently uploading the CD to my PC and having long ago mislaid the CD cover and acompanying magazine was hoping to find out the names of the artitss and the tracks by googling the lyrics. Sadly got no further than the first (Hound Dog - unknown Elvis Presley cover) and last (Lemsip Overdose by Dead Man's Pants) tracks. Can anyone help out with the info - I have given the following temporary titles, based on the refrain or pre-eminent audible lyrics, to the running order:

01. Hound Dog - unknown artists (composer: Elvis Presley)
02. These Four Walls - unknown artists (composer: style is akin to Elvis Presley)
03. God Save You And Me - unknown artist (progressive rock style akin to Asia)
04. Baby You're Getting On/Every Day Another Lie - unknown artists (style akin to Stiff Little Fingers)
05. You Won't Change My Mind - unknown artists (style akin to Saxon/USA radio rock)
06. Dead Bird lying On The Ground - unkown artist (style akin to a punkified Louden Wainwright III)
07. Run, Run, Run (Till I Break Away)- unknown artists (style akin to indie rock)
08. (We're Gonna) Raise A Hullabaloo - unknown artists (akin to UK band The Winchesters or Molly Hatchet)
09. Gangster's Holiday - unknown artists (style akin to indie rock/new wave/punk)
10. Sunday Papers - unknown artists (style akin to The Kinks/The Beatles/Oasis)
11. Runaway - unknown artists (style akin to softened Deep Purple circa Ronnie James Dio era)
12. Lemsip Overdose - Dead Man's Pants (post new wave/punk)

Many thaks music lovers

Hahahaha, I still have that CD. Did you know that Dead Man's Pants is Jim Davies, guitarist in Pitchshifter (RIP) and live guitarist with the Prodigy?
