Curve, also defunct
One of the other bands I was a big fan of that broke up (at the start of last year) is Curve. Apart from being the Xerox PARC to Garbage’s Apple, to draw a nerdly analogy, Curve were extensively ahead of themselves (see what I did there), and you can hear plenty of stylistic influence today. Below is the video from one of their more succesful songs, the brilliant Fait Accompli.
