Why it’s funny: Stuart’s well known dislike of peas is cleverly contrasted against this supportive chant. One can imagine a slightly distracted Pearce thinking some well meaning City fans were vocally showing their appreciation for his work, before realising that supporters of another team were in fact mocking his deep rooted dislike of legumes.
