The Case Of The Cross-Dressing Carp
To help CSI fans that have not yet seen episode 4 of season 8, I have cunningly disguised the plot point in the following sentence:
Sil asked Gara to marry him! First place I went for commentary? GSR of course, and they delivered - with a clip and everything. Though, they don’t really answer the question of whether double G will get to buy a fancy hat for his own wedding.
For non CSI watchers, the post title is actually the episode title, and the episode did (just about) do what it said on the tin. TV veteran John Billingsley* turned up and died shortly thereafter. Other than Enterprise, almost all the TV appearances I recall of John Billingsley’s do involve him dying, including his appearance on CSI: New York if I recall correctly (we can safely assume he got better, moved to Vegas, and became a Hydrologist). He sort of survived on Prison Break, but his character (then played by someone else) did eventually die, restoring some kind of cosmic balance no doubt.
* The doctor on Enterprise, for the three of you that watched it, and the one that didn’t get annoyed when Scott Bakula traveled in time at the end of the first season and didn’t go “Oh Boy”.
