Grissom Stole My Bees

Almost a throw back episode from CSI this week, with some of that creepiness that the first season was good at, a fair amount of screen time for all the characters, and solving the crime by looking at the evidence (in a forensics show, who’d have thought) - despite the fact that it didn’t really end well for anyone involved with the crime.

They’re reinforcing the central CSI theme - that it’s about finding out what happened, not dispensing righteous justice as certain bikini oriented spin-offs do. I also appreciated the “I had offers from labs in Miami and New York” line from the new girl, though as my brother points out:

The new girl did say the crime rate was rising in Las Vegas, so we can assume ginger justice is really cracking down in Miami. And of course with the all the “boom”s* going on in New York that’s cutting things in half as well.

Also, no further adventures in headgear from double G. I’ve high hopes for next week.

* this is, of course, a reference to Danny’s (and now Lindsay’s) use of the full on New Yoik “boom” exclamation, and not the proliferation of rubbish terrorist plots.
