Old Suzuki Swift VINs n’ Things

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

I was trying to check the year on my all powerful Suzuki Swift (in case it was different from the year of registration), and found that the usual place on in the VIN for working out the year is helpfully 0 (it’s usually a letter).
It proved hard to find any information on what the format [...]

id get got

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Develop report that id software has been bought by ZeniMax, the owners of Bethesda Softworks. Id were one of the last real independent developers, but they were privately owned so I guess the deal made sense for them (maybe John needs more money for spaceships).

Local Internet Video

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

Very strange sensation on reading B3ta this week, seeing a mildly amusing tree based video, and realising it was shot in the little park my flat looks out over (though at that time someone hadn’t written ‘I did yo mum’ on the path in chalk)!

Pen & Pixel

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Well this is epic – 74 pages (at time of writing) of outstandingly wonderful Pen & Pixel covers (as featured on the Louis Theroux gangsta rap episode fact fans). CB had the linkage.

A moral quandry

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

I’m on the train on the way up to London and the tea trolley lady is coming up the aisle. She starts serving someone on the other side of the train, and I cough, genuinely, which she clearly takes as a ’serve me’ cough. Suddenly I’m caught in the bind of wanting a tea but [...]
