Ye’s ’swagger like mick jagger’ line was inevitable, but this is still a bit of a banger. Video because I’m too lazy to upload an mp3.

Fatlace linked up this AC video that samples New Soul (as wot is used on the mac air advert). I think the eminem/new soul mashup on Feed The Animals edges it in general, but this video is just class (and has a nice little sting at the end, Apple fans).

Jay-Z’s appearance at Glastonbury has shown a diplomatic side to young hov that I don’t think has been fully revealed before. After Noel Gallagher made some disparaging comments about his headlining, he came back with a thoughtful and well worded response:

The TougeKing points out the interesting choice of a Malay chap as a terrist in a recent Royal Marines recruiting film, with some choice realistic dialogue:
If you listen carefully, he was yelling about “aku…paling jahat di dunia ini,” roughly translated as “I am the the baddest terrorist in the world etc.”

I can’t actually remember where I got this link from now - may have been Leave Your Nine At Home, but it’s  a brilliant documentary on hip hop in the 80s (and a bit of early ninties). It’s in Dutch, but as the interviews and so on are English it doesn’t pose a major problem. [...]
